James Gardner is a technology and retail entrepreneur.
In 2004 James Gardner founded CREATETHE GROUP where he pioneered digital branding and commerce solutions for some of the world’s leading fashion, luxury and lifestyle brands including Burberry, Marc Jacobs,Louis Vuitton, Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein, Dona Karan, Tom Ford, David Yurman and many more. James Gardner helped brands develop digital strategies, design, build and grow their global omni-channel digital commerce businesses.
As CEO of CREATETHE GROUP James Gardner built a proprietary hybrid SaaS-developer e-commerce platform, a digital creative and marketing agency, and a photography studio. He grew the team to 350 people in NYC and London, raised $20M in funding, acquired a digital media company and won numerous awards including Webby Award & Clio awards for NOWNESS.com.
James Gardner started his career a strategic consultant at Accenture in London. In 1994 James Gardner moved to New York City to work on Wall Street at Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch and was a key player in technology innovation and algorithmic trading in US, Europe and Asia.
